"Arlert's hair is the most disgusting thing I've ever seen."
"Agreed. Why doesn't he just cut it already?"
"It's not his hair that's the problem, it's his everything!"
You shook your head as you passed a group of boys around your age or older. Your opinion was that Armin's hair was very beautiful, and it fit him really well. The majority of the survey corps had made it their job to protect him whenever someone said something like that about him.
Armin however, never made an effort to stop them. You had known him ever since Shiganshina fell years before. You were closer to him than Eren or Mikasa though. Since Eren had found out he was a Titan Shifter, he was always under constant protection by Levi's Squad.
Mikasa was around Eren the majority of the time. She had told you why she was so protective of him once, and you didn't blame her. He actually saved her from death. Though you had never seen Eren as someone who would kill somebody on purpose, it was for someone else's safety.
Your gaze lifted up to see a group of boys. The tallest one seemed to be the leader. You had known him for a while, how he got into the survey corps was beyond you, but how Erwin managed to tolerated him and his gang of idiots wasn't something you would ever understand.
They had been surrounding your best friend, which is something you saw often. Though you didn't place in your training years, you were still a good at hand-to-hand combat.
Sighing to yourself, you began to sprint to his location. You had ran out of breath, but you kept going nonetheless.
"Armin!"
You saw his head swing up to yours, his ocean blue eyes full of panic. You maneuvered yourself through the crowd surrounding him, and stood yourself in front of him.
"Move."
"No! You hurt my friend. I can't tolerate that. Now, if you will go about your own business and leave Armin alone I might not hurt you."
The five of them glanced at each other, the leader stepping forwards and looking down at Armin's trembling figure. "What makes you think we'd do that?"
"The fact that I have the rest of the survey corps on my side, and that you should have some common sense." You paused, "but obviously you don't"
He took a deep breath, giving the rest of his gang a smirk. "Why would we be scared of the survey corps? Why would we be scared of someone like you?"
"Have you heard of a little someone named Levi Ackerman?"
He nodded.
"He's here. He taught me everything I know. And he will beat your ass if you try to hurt me. Trust me."
You heard chuckles in the crowd beginning to surround you.
"That little midget?" He chuckled, stepping forwards. "I'm not scared."
It was your turn to laugh now.
"Alright. Fine. Try me."
He threw the first punch, and your gaze turned back to Armin. Seeing him be surrounded by the other four.
"Armin! Look out!"
His eyes widened, and the last thing he heard was your voice calling for him, before everything went black.

You heard shuffling next to you, waking you up from your nap you had took on the chair.
"[name]? What happened?" You heard Armin's voice through the silence, shocking you and making you almost fall out of your chair.
"Armin! You're okay..." You pulled him into a hug as gently as you could, running your fingers through his hair.
"O-oh... T-thank you..." He spoke, you could tell he was blushing.
"I was worried about you. Those stupid guys. I'll have Eren turn into a titan and kill them the next time I see them."
"Oh."
"Armin... Don't start saying that you're weak because of what happened." You told him, laying him back down into his bed, and looking into his eyes that you couldn't seem to get enough of.
